It’s good to start thinking about your invitations as soon as you set your date. You want to start thinking about what impression you want your invitation suite to make. Think about your color palette, the theme, the flowers, the location and how all of these elements can be translated into your invitation suite. Typically you want to start planning your invitations about 6 months out. If you want save the dates opt for about 12-9 months out.

We can most certainly take a design already created and tweak it so it is uniquely yours.

For the wedding collection, once we begin the design process it takes about 2 weeks to develop several initial designs for you to chose from based on your ideas and requests. Once the designs are approved, orders will ship between 2-4 weeks depending on the complexity of the production & assembly.

For the baby collection, it will take about 1-2 weeks to develop the initial design and once approved, orders will ship within 2 weeks.

For custom maps, we ask for at least 30 days to create and perfect. These maps require a lot of research and planning on our part. This process takes some communication between the two of us in order to get every detail perfect. The text, color and style all vary depending on your wedding. I welcome all creative input on your designs.

Yes, of course. Most of the proofing stage is conducted online via email. There is no limit to the amount of revisions you can make. Once you have approved the design & elements, the final proof will be created. You will see the invitation fully packaged; this will be an exact copy of your invitation. I can mail this proof to you or we will meet in person. If you are pressed for time, it is advised to receive this proof via email through a combination of photos, digital layouts and detailed text description of your order.

Most designs are illustrated in house and then scanned into the computer as vector files and reproduced onto your chosen paper. Hand-painted invitations are individually painted on each invitation.

We offer modern (printed) calligraphy in house. If you are looking for a traditional calligrapher, we can outsource to some local favorites.
